Michael apologises over drugs bust

George Michael has apologised to fans after being cautioned on suspicion of possessing drugs.

The star was arrested in a public toilet on Friday and given the caution for possessing Class A and C drugs.

In a statement Michael said: 'I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them.'

The drugs were thought to include crack cocaine.

In 2006, the 45-year-old was cautioned for possessing cannabis after being found asleep at the wheel of his car twice.

He recently completed his first world tour for 15 years and said he would retiring from arena shows in order to have a 'quieter life'.
